NATIONAL STEAK AND POULTRY RECOGNIZES SUCCESS AT SYSCO FOOD SHOWS

Rudy Rivera – Regional Sales Manager – Western Region is currently touring with Sysco Food Service. He has completed shows in San Diego, Ventura and Las Vegas. The focus of his presentation is product 680009 – 9 oz. Savory Sirloin Steak, 72108 1/2″ x 1/2″ Fully Cooked Beef Cubes – Carne Asada and 70308 3/8″ x 1″ Fully Cooked Al Pastor Chicken Breast Cubes – BBQ Chipotle.

Rudy works closely with his brokers to transfer product knowledge and sales tools to improve account conversion. Rudy and his brokers have presented to over 200 customers since the beginning of the tour. They have had success with the military and many other accounts.

A highlight from the San Diego show is a picture of Rudy Rivera with Boxing legend Evander Holyfield.

National Steak and Poultry Wins Big At The International Pizza Expo in Las Vegas By Cooking Pizzas, Sampling Products and Collecting Over 100 Leads.

National Steak and Poultry began focusing on building a strong national foodservice broker network 5 years ago. During that time the number of brokers has grown to 16, covering 38 states.

”These brokers provide a strong market presence in these states and we continue to look towards expanding our market reach in other areas. The addition of six new broker partners in the last 60 days has only strengthened our network and expanded our reach.” said Mike Wilson, National Steak and Poultry Senior Director of Broadline Sales.

A Shining Star at Community Foodbank of Eastern Oklahoma

On December 30, 2010 National Steak and Poultry made 34,000 pound donation to the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma. As a result NSP was chosen as a “Hunger’s Shining Star” for fall of 2010.

NSP and CFBEO have been partners for more than 13 years. NSP donates protein items (beef, poultry, pork) as available and for special events the CFBEO has throughout the year. Our partnership with CFBEO is a part of our Responsible Stewardship initiative at NSP.

National Steak and Poultry has donated 34,000 pounds of sirloin and chicken to the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.

“We value our partnership with NSP because they provide highly nutritious protein items to the hungry, which are oftentimes hard to come by,” said Sara Waggoner, executive director of the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma. “We know that the 440 Partner Programs we serve will greatly appreciate the donation, especially since they are experiencing about a 40 percent increase in the number of people coming to them for food assistance.”

Since partnering with the Food Bank in 1997, NSP has donated more than 200,000 pounds of food.

“The Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma has always been the most important of our community outreach programs. It helps so many families and allows us to give back to Oklahomans,” said David Albright, CEO of National Steak and Poultry.

The food from National Steak and Poultry delivered the meat to the Food Bank at 1304 North Kenosha Thursday morning.
